    Organ Concert and Late-Night Cruise

Budapest is a city rightfully proud of its culture, versatility and charms. It entices its visitors to look for ever more sights, sounds, tastes and memories to bring home and reminisce about once the journey is over. The Organ Concert and Late Night Cruise is one of these well-rounded events that combine a powerhouse of Hungarian culture into an irresistible package. The musical portion of the evening takes place at the historic St Stephen’s Basilica, one of Budapest’s calling cards. It is followed by a cruise with dinner on board that lets you enjoy the capital’s many sights from the riverbanks, lit up beautifully for your evening viewing pleasure. This is the perfect introduction to the quintessential Budapest experience!

The Organ Concert lets you immerse yourself into the spiritual and cultural heritage of Hungary on the wings of beautiful classical and sacred melodies. Miklós Teleki, one of Hungary’s preeminent organists and an award-winning classical musician, lets the compositions of greats such as Ferenc Liszt, Antonio Vivaldi or Johann Sebastian Bach fill the special space of the historic St Stephen’s Basilica to deliver a unique performance. Occasionally backed up by a singer and a flute player, Teleki weaves a beautiful musical narrative that takes you on a beautiful journey for around 70 minutes.

After the organ concert, it is time for Budapest to shine for you – literally! From aboard your river cruise ship, you can marvel at the Hungarian capital’s architectural landmarks, covered in their tasteful night lighting. The House of Parliament, the Buda Castle, the Matthias Church as well as St Stephen’s where you just enjoyed a wonderful concert all await your hungry gaze. So do Budapest’s many bridges, like the Chain or Liberty Bridge. While you survey the fantastic cityscape, you will also enjoy a tasting of authentic Hungarian dishes such as Alföld goulash, grilled polenta, Somló sponge cake, and other meat and vegetarian delicacies. During the 90-minute cruise, string musicians from the Rajkó Folk Ensemble and Orchestra will provide live musical accompaniment to add another special note to your already memorable night.
